100% Pure Silk Dupioni – Saddle Brown (54″)

Silk Dupioni aka Silk dupione, douppioni or duppionni but correctly pronounced DOO-PEE-ON-E. The word comes from the French and references the DOUBLE NESTED cocoons that are spun side by side and interlocked and used to make the slubs and nubs that are so characteristic of this fabric.

This fabric is 100% natural silk. Yarn irregularities and variations in shade are in no way to be considered defective as they are the characteristics of silk.

China silk is tightly machine woven and has a mostly straight selvedge edge. Slubs are not as prominent as they are in India Silk.
